A 20-year-old driver from Burgas survived a serious crash last night on Hristo Botev Boulevard, near the Bilkova pharmacy, just before the junction with San Stefano Boulevard. There are no reports of injured passers-by.

The young man lost control of his BMW. The car left the road, hit a kiosk and flipped onto its roof. It is wrecked, with the front end and body badly crushed.

The area is one of the busiest in the city, with cars and pedestrians even late at night.

It is not yet known how fast the driver was going just before the crash or exactly why he lost control.

Unofficial reports say the BMW has about 500 horsepower.
