Last night, a signal was received at the duty part of the Police Station in Velingrad about a traffic accident in the city. An auto patrol team was immediately sent to the scene, which found that a 19-year-old woman, driving a BMW car, first hit a parked car and then a minor child in a wheelchair. Fortunately, there were no serious injuries in the incident.
The driver and her 24-year-old passenger stopped briefly, but then left the scene and hid. The police officers quickly formed a team, which, with the help of witnesses to the incident, found that the owner of the car is a 24-year-old man from Velingrad, who entrusted the car's operation to his 19-year-old girlfriend. Both of them have a criminal record and are known to the authorities.
