Traffic in the direction of the center of Burgas is hindered in the area of the "Meden Rudnik – Sozopol" roundabout, after crates and numerous glass bottles were spilled on the roadway following an incident involving a truck.
Part of the cargo — crates of beer and bottles — fell from the vehicle and scattered across the right lane and along the curb. There is broken glass and debris on the asphalt, which poses a risk both to passing cars and to two-wheeled vehicles.
The driver is currently gathering the spilled cargo on-site, but passage through the section remains hindered. Vehicles are moving more slowly, and some drivers are forced to bypass the contaminated area with increased caution.
At the moment, there is no information about injured people. It is also unclear what exactly caused the incident — whether the cargo compartment opened, whether the cargo was not sufficiently secured, or whether another technical situation occurred.
Drivers traveling from "Meden Rudnik" district and from the direction of Sozopol towards the central part of Burgas should allow for more travel time and reduce their speed in the area. The presence of broken glass on the road poses a danger of punctured tires and loss of control, especially during sudden maneuvers.
It is expected that the section will be cleaned and traffic will normalize after the removal of the crates, bottles, and glass shards from the roadway.
