Innovative technologies for monitoring are being tested in Sozopol.

On June 5, 2025, in the area of the Shofyorski Beach in Sozopol, a demonstration of a pilot project funded by the EU will be held, aimed at using mobile command centers, drones, radars and artificial intelligence to improve security and response in crisis situations. Access to the beach will be temporarily restricted during certain time intervals.

The Municipality of Sozopol informs the residents and guests of the city that on June 5, 2025, a demonstration of innovative surveillance technologies will be held in the area of Shofyorski Beach, as part of a pilot project funded by the European Union. In order to implement the project, temporary restrictions on access to the road leading to Shofyorski Beach may be in place during the following time intervals: in the morning from 09:00 to 12:30 and in the afternoon from 15:00 to 17:00.

The pilot project includes the use of mobile command centers, drones, radars, and artificial intelligence systems, with the aim of enhancing security and improving the response to crisis situations. The municipal authorities call for understanding and patience from citizens during the demonstration.
