The courthouse in Burgas shut for nearly two hours this morning after a bomb threat, the court's press office told BTA. It closed at 9:15am and reopened at 11am. Staff and visitors left the building while police searched it.
They found no bomb, and the courthouse reopened to the public.
At 1pm today, courtroom No. 1 at the Burgas appeal court will hear a truck driver's appeal against his pre-trial detention.
He is accused of smuggling 20kg of cocaine and 25.5kg of marijuana. The Yambol district court ordered him held in custody, and he is challenging that ruling.
His truck and trailer were heading for Turkey on September 25 when customs officers and police from the national organised crime unit stopped it for a check at the Lesovo border crossing.
