Crime Chronicle: Mobile drug lab busted in Burgas
Two women from Burgas were detained during a specialized police inspection after an improvised drug laboratory was discovered in their vehicle. The operation was carried out today, according to the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior.
The "Opel Zafira" vehicle was stopped for inspection around 16:00 on "Vanche Mihaylov" Street. A 19-year-old woman was behind the wheel, and a 31-year-old Burgas resident was also in the car.
During the search, police officers found a backpack containing numerous plastic bottles with acid, sodium hydroxide, red phosphorus, various utensils, and precursors used in the production of narcotic substances.
What did the police find?
- Over 50 grams of methamphetamine;
- Acids and sodium hydroxide;
- Red phosphorus and chemical precursors;
- Tools for synthesizing drugs.
The two women have been detained for a period of up to 24 hours at the First District Police Department in Burgas, where pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. We remind you that just two days ago, during another operation in Sunny Beach, six more people were detained for drug possession and distribution.
