Following examinations at UMBAL-Burgas, two women injured in road accidents in the region yesterday were discharged for home treatment. Information regarding the collisions, which occurred within less than an hour of each other, was provided to the media by the Ministry of Interior.

In the second accident, which took place less than 30 minutes after the first, a 67-year-old woman from Burgas was struck near block 166 in the Lazur residential complex. The incident was caused by a 40-year-old driver from Zlataritsa, who hit the pedestrian while making a left turn. As a result of the impact, the victim sustained a fracture to the coccyx and the radius bone.

Earlier that same day, at approximately 11:55 a.m., the first road accident occurred on Moskva Street in Karnobat. A 53-year-old local man struck a 51-year-old woman as she was crossing at a pedestrian crosswalk, after failing to yield the right of way. During the collision, the woman escaped with swelling to one of her feet, which necessitated an examination at the medical facility.
