A luxury Richard Mille watch worth up to 1 million euros was stolen from a hotel in Cannes during the film festival. The police are investigating an organized group of thieves.

Daring theft of a luxury watch in Cannes

During the glamorous Cannes Film Festival, the city became the scene of a serious criminal incident. A luxury watch from the prestigious Swiss brand Richard Mille, valued at between 700,000 and 1 million euros, was stolen from the Palm Beach hotel.

The theft was carried out by creating an artificial crowd near the restrooms of the hotel, located on the Croisette seaside boulevard.

Specifics of crimes during the festival

According to police sources, the incident is not an isolated case. During the film festival, Cannes becomes a target for:

  • Highly specialized groups of thieves
  • Organized pickpockets targeting wealthy tourists
  • Criminal structures watching for expensive accessories

Last year, more than 10 attempted or successful thefts of luxury watches were registered in the area, forcing French authorities to drastically increase security measures during the peak season.

Ебати, сериозно ли? Милион евро за часовник?! Нямам думи... Ама все пак, Кан е Кан, какво да очакваш друго освен някакви тарикати и престъпници?
