Tragic statistics for the last 24 hours

The last 24 hours were marked by a significant number of road accidents. According to official data from the Ministry of Interior, a total of 23 accidents occurred in the country, resulting in one fatality and 33 injuries.

In the capital, the situation also remains tense – 23 serious and one minor traffic accident have been registered, with one person injured.

Rise in fatalities since the beginning of the year

The overall picture since the beginning of the year reveals alarming figures:

  • Total number of accidents: 3333
  • Fatalities: 236 people
  • Injured: 4136 people

The data shows a negative trend. A comparison with 2025, when 214 deaths were registered during the same period, shows an increase of 22 deaths more in the current year. Since the beginning of the month, the road death toll has already reached 19 in 300 accidents.

The Traffic Police urge drivers to exercise increased caution and to follow traffic rules, especially given the frequent accidents in major cities and on intercity roads.
