The police officers of Burgas solve crimes, extinguish a fire, and investigate a traffic incident.

Police officers in Burgas and the region have been engaged in uncovering thefts, apprehending a drug dealer, and investigating a traffic incident and a fire during the past 24 hours. A total of 6 thefts, 3 other criminal offenses, 1 fire, and 1 traffic accident were registered.

During the last 24 hours in the territory of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - Burgas, six thefts, three other criminal offenses, one fire, and one traffic accident were reported. A total of three police proceedings have been initiated, and 16 crimes have been solved.

On June 18, a report was received at the Fifth Police Station - Burgas that a 45-year-old man had been hired to take 9,300 leva from a 76-year-old woman in the "Zornitsa" neighborhood and then deliver them to Ruse, but he was instructed to go to Giurgiu in Romania. The man suspected it was a fraud and alerted the police. It turned out that the woman had been receiving telephone threats all day to give the money. The police have initiated pre-trial proceedings in the case.

Officers from the Fifth Police Station - Burgas have identified the perpetrator of a theft of 11,500 leva from a 63-year-old man on May 27/28. The theft was committed by breaking into the front left door of a Mercedes E 200 car. The detainee is a 47-year-old man from the village of Atiya, Sozopol Municipality, who has made full confessions. Part of the money has been seized.

On June 18, in Pomorie, a 34-year-old man with a criminal record and a criminal history was detained during a specialized police operation. During a personal search and search of a private residence, a total of 200 grams of marijuana, divided into 40 polyethylene bags, as well as a scale and empty nylon bags, were found. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.

On June 19, around 1:50 a.m. in Sunny Beach, officers from the Nessebar Police Station stopped for inspection a Ford Focus car with Polish registration, driven by a 38-year-old Ukrainian citizen with 1.82 per mille of alcohol in his blood. The driver was detained by a police order for up to 24 hours, and the car was seized. Expedited proceedings have been initiated in the case.

On June 18, around 3:00 p.m., a report was received about a burning auto-repair shop at the beginning of the "Dolno Ezerovo" neighborhood in Burgas. The fire was extinguished by two fire engines and nine firefighters. It was found that the fire was caused by a short circuit in an electrical panel. The repair shop, rented by a 32-year-old man from the village of Marinka, was completely burned down, along with two cars for repair - a Peugeot and a BMW, as well as numerous tools and jacks. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case.

On June 18, around 1:00 p.m., in the village of Kosharitsa, Nessebar Municipality, due to driving at an inappropriate speed and loss of control, a self-driving individual electric vehicle (tricycle) driven by a 42-year-old man from the village was involved in an accident. The injured person was admitted for treatment at the University Hospital - Burgas with a fracture of the right ankle, without danger to life.
