Burgas: Detention for Slashing a TikToker

A 52-year-old parking security guard from Burgas was detained for 24 hours after inflicting a cut on a 33-year-old man from Sofia, known on TikTok as Bobko or "I" am a kamikaze".

The incident, which occurred on September 16, resulted from an escalating conflict that had been brewing between the two for months.

The victim, with a minor superficial wound on his left thigh, is not in danger of life. The security guard was released after the 24-hour detention, but a pre-trial proceeding has been initiated against him.

Background of the conflict

According to the police, the tension between the security guard and the man from Sofia began about a month and a half ago, when the latter parked his car in a way that hindered the movement of buses.

Following a report from the security guard to the municipality, the car was towed. The identification of the security guard as the reporter led to a heated verbal altercation, which also moved into the digital space, via the TikTok platform, gradually escalating.

According to Lyubomir Evtimov from "Criminal Police" at the OДМВР-Burgas, the incident on September 16 is the culmination of this prolonged conflict.

"The report was for a fight between two men", Evtimov explains to Nova TV.

He adds that "during the argument, one threatened the other with a small hatchet". According to Evtimov, "the case has a history" and the conflict grew through mutual insults on social networks.

The tension reached its peak on September 16, when the man from Sofia sought out the security guard.

The verbal exchange escalated into obscene insults.

According to Evtimov"s account, the security guard received an invitation from the influencer "to go to the beach to resolve the dispute through self-redress". This led to a final decision by the security guard, who used a small hatchet, but "with the intention of intimidation, to stop the verbal attack. He did not want to hurt him", claims Evtimov.
