Burgas Municipality will continue the implementation of the activities under the “Hot Meal” project, after signing an additional agreement to the grant agreement. The signed document provides additional financial resources, which allows for the extension of the provision of the social service until June 30, 2026.

The project is implemented under the Food and Basic Material Assistance Program 2021–2027, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus. The “Hot Meal” service is provided free of charge, after a selection process, and is aimed at people at risk of poverty and social exclusion.

The food is prepared and delivered without a fee from the users, and is delivered to their addresses by the Home Social Patronage teams with the service's vehicles. The aim of the project is to provide healthy, varied and nutritious food for people in disadvantaged situations. The menu includes soup, a main course and bread, as well as dessert twice a week.
