INFORMATION BULLETIN: Overview of Events in Burgas for the Last Three Days

BURGAS, October 6, 2025 - The Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Interior in Burgas today published an information bulletin presenting an overview of the criminal situation and traffic accidents registered in the directorate's area over the last three days. The data, provided by the "Press Center and Strategic Communications" Directorate, reflect active work by the employees, focused on solving crimes and ensuring public order.

According to the bulletin, five thefts, two other criminal offenses, and one traffic accident were recorded during the period under review. Four rapid proceedings were initiated within the three days. A total of 12 crimes were solved, which testifies to the efforts of the law enforcement agencies in the region.

Crimes Solved:

On October 3 of this year, in Kableshkovo, officers from the local precinct at the Pomorie Regional Police Department conducted a check on a 29-year-old woman from the same village. As a result of the check, six small bags containing "drugged tea" were found and seized, with a total weight of about 7 grams. The woman was detained for a period of up to 24 hours. Simultaneously, a check was carried out on a 29-year-old woman from Kameno, during which three small bags with "drugged tea" were found and seized, with a total weight of about 4 grams. She was also detained for a period of up to 24 hours. Rapid proceedings were initiated in these cases, which shows the quick reaction of the authorities.

On the same day, October 3, around 3:50 PM, on Burgas' "Chataldzha" street, officers from the First Regional Police Department – Burgas stopped a "BMW 320 D" car with Plovdiv registration for a check. The car was driven by a 30-year-old man from Burgas. During the check, it was found that the driver was driving after using narcotic substances – amphetamine and methamphetamine. However, the driver refused to provide samples for chemical examination. The man was detained for a period of up to 24 hours, and the car was seized. Rapid proceedings were initiated in the case.

On October 4, around 5:30 PM, during a patrol of the beach strip in the "Elenite" holiday village, near the "Levant" restaurant, two men were detained. One is a 19-year-old from Sveti Vlas, and the other is a 22-year-old from the Vidin village of Novo Selo. During their detention, they were found to have 4,000 euros in banknotes with denominations of 200 and 500 euros, as well as a bag of tools. Near them, among the accumulated branches and deposits, a black bag was found. It contained two laptops, two drones, a laptop charger, perfumes, and tools. According to the information, these items were stolen from private apartments located in evacuated hotels. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated in the case, which will likely lead to further investigation.

Traffic Accident:

On October 3, around 8:26 AM, before the village of Zidarovo towards the village of Izvor, a traffic accident occurred. A "Opel Corsa" car, with Burgas registration, driven by a 38-year-old man from the Shumen village of Malomir, entered the oncoming lane due to inappropriate speed and loss of control when entering a left turn. In the incident, he caused a collision with the legally moving "Volkswagen Caddy" truck, with Swedish registration, driven by a 44-year-old man from the village of Veselie. As a result of the accident, the driver of the "Opel" received minor injuries – a fractured wrist bone. He was examined at UMBAL – Burgas and released for home treatment.
