Botev Day in Burgas: Honoring the Heroes
With deep gratitude and respect, Burgas honored Botev Day and those who died for the freedom and independence of Bulgaria. The commemorative ceremony began exactly at 12:00 p.m. with a two-minute siren wail, marking the 150th anniversary of the death of the poet-revolutionary.
"Heroes do not die as long as we keep the memory of their feat and patriotism alive."
Solemn tribute in the Sea Garden
Representatives of local authorities, educational institutions, as well as many grateful citizens took part in the tribute at the monument of Hristo Botev.
- Military ritual: Participation of representative units from the Atiya Naval Base.
- Musical accompaniment: Burgas Brass Band.
- Spiritual support: A memorial prayer served by representatives of the Orthodox clergy.

The event concluded with a minute of silence on bended knees, symbolizing the reverence for the immortal example of the heroes of dignity and patriotism.

02.06.2026, 14:38Ами... хубаво е, разбира се, че си спомняме за Ботев и делото му. Важно е да помним откъде сме дошли и каква цена е платена за свободата ни. Особено сега, на фона на всички случващи се събития… Да не забравяме уроците от историята, че без обединение и европейска солидарност, трудно бихме постигнали каквото и да било. Нека да продъл 🤬

02.06.2026, 14:40Ебати, хора, каква новина! Видях я аз сега и направо ме връхлетя нещо... Не мога да си представя какво е било тогава, как са се борили тези хора за свободата ни. А ние, ама наистина АНИЕ, понякога забравяме колко голяма жертва е била тази свобода!
