Burgas – Europe's new stage for "Eurovision 2027"

The city of Burgas is preparing for one of the most significant musical events in the world – hosting the "Eurovision" contest in 2027. The news was met with excitement, and the Vice President of the Republic of Bulgaria, Iliana Iotova, described it as an "incredible chance" for our country.

"We have an incredible chance to show proverbial Bulgarian hospitality and attract thousands of tourists to the Black Sea coast," stated Iotova.

Key dates for the contest:

  • May 11: First semi-final
  • May 13: Second semi-final
  • May 15: Grand final

Burgas was not chosen by chance. The city possesses long-standing musical traditions and is an iconic place for the Bulgarian scene, home to the legendary "Burgas and the Sea" contest. Iliana Iotova expressed confidence that the guests will leave captivated by the magic of the sea and iconic songs such as "Ah, the Sea" by Toni Dimitrova and "Burgas Evenings" by Familia Tonika.

Why is this important for the region?

Hosting such a large-scale forum is an opportunity for Burgas to realize its potential in front of all of Europe. According to the Vice President, this is a chance for the people of Burgas to show their pride in their city and turn the event into an unforgettable cultural celebration.
