Boliarovo council will urgently ask for dangerous trees along local roads to be cut down and for road markings to be renewed where they are missing. The work must be done before winter, the council said.

Mayor Hristo Hristov led a working meeting of the municipal disaster and emergency staff. They also discussed how to coordinate snow clearing.

Trees overhang the road most dangerously between the villages of Kamen Vrah and Stefan Karadzhovo, and on the stretch from Golyamo Krushevo to the Straldzha border. The council says nothing has been done about them so far, despite earlier reports.

The council will therefore send an urgent letter to the State Forestry Enterprise.

Road markings are missing on the section from the Ruzhitsa junction to Gorska Polyana, on the renovated road to the village of Voden, and on the stretch from the Koshu Dere junction to the Straldzha border. The council will send official letters about these places to the road bodies in charge.

Firms that clear snow must submit a schedule in advance for the second-class and fourth-class roads, so that routes are treated without a break.
