According to data from the European Environment Agency, Bulgaria is strengthening its position as a preferred summer destination. 96.9% of bathing sites in the country have excellent ratings, placing Bulgaria in third place in the European Union.

"The quality of the water and sand at our local beaches is at the best world level," stated the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Ilin Dimitrov.

The results are significantly above the EU average, which is 84.8%. The assessment is based on strict monitoring of the bacteriological state of the waters, ensuring safety for all vacationers.
