Bulgaria integrates blinkP2P into the pan-European EuroPA network

Bulgaria is officially joining the ambitious European initiative European Payments Alliance (EuroPA), Borica announced. This strategic partnership is an important step toward the digitalization of financial services in the country.

Thanks to EuroPA, users of the blinkP2P service will be able to send and receive money via mobile number not only within Bulgaria but also to Spain, Portugal, Greece, Italy, and the other countries in the alliance.

What does EuroPA mean for the end user?

• Ease: Transfers will be carried out in the same easy way you send a message – via a mobile number.
• Speed: The service relies on instant payments, eliminating the waiting time for international transfers.
• Reach: A common network is being built that connects national payment systems in Europe into a unified ecosystem.

The news was announced during the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the National Card and Payment Scheme – bcard blink. The event brought together over 200 experts from the financial sector, highlighting Bulgaria's role as an active participant in the European payment initiatives ECPA and ECPC.
