Bulgaria and Ukraine deepen their defense cooperation

Minister of Foreign Affairs Velislava Petrova-Chamova emphasized during her visit to Kyiv that support for Ukraine remains a priority. A key focus of the talks was the possibility of joint drone production, which will support both Ukraine's defense capabilities and the modernization of the Bulgarian Army.

"Ukraine has extensive experience and is developing cutting-edge drone technologies; we can facilitate the transfer of these technologies to Bulgaria," Prime Minister Rumen Radev noted earlier.

Sanctions and diplomatic pressure

During the Fifth "Ukraine-Southeast Europe" Summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for the adoption of the 21st package of sanctions against Russia. He highlighted the need to restrict Russian energy exports, which fund the war:

  • Limiting the Kremlin's sources of funding.
  • Preventing the circumvention of sanctions.
  • Increasing pressure until minimal revenues are achieved for the aggressor.

The meeting was attended by leaders from a number of countries, including Albania, Serbia, Croatia, Moldova, Romania, and Slovenia, demonstrating unity in support of Euro-Atlantic security.
