The Director of the NHIF, Assoc. Prof. Petko Stefanovski, reported impressive results from the first day of the new control mechanism. Over 106 thousand prescriptions were issued, and nearly 118 thousand were filled, with the NHIF and the National Health Information System working in sync. At the peak moment, the time to check a prescription is no more than 3 seconds, without a single software defect in the entire country.
Assoc. Prof. Stefanovski personally thanked the leaders of the Bulgarian Medical Association and the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union for the good cooperation in the preparation of the automated control. He also expresses gratitude to the teams of the NHIF and Information Service AD, who made tremendous efforts for the smooth introduction of the new process.
