Bulgaria's Shumen water utility has set a new water price starting March 1, 2026, while a separate water problem is hitting the Burgas region. Pomorie will have no water on Monday, October 5, from 8am to 4pm after a main supply pipe broke. Burgas water utility announced the cut.

On top of that emergency shutdown, Pomorie's mayor has ordered water rationing in the village of Kozichino. There, water will be cut off at 6pm and come back on at 9am the next morning.

Pomorie residents need to stock up on water for most of Monday, while people in Kozichino will go without water every evening and night.
