Abnormal Meteorological Conditions: Bulgaria Expects Extreme Temperature Values

Meteorological experts are analyzing the upcoming heat cycle, which coincides with the traditional summer period around Ilinden Day. The forecast definitively indicates extreme temperature values that will cause serious tension among citizens.

Afternoon temperature readings are expected to reach around and slightly over 40 degrees, which puts the entire national territorial area at serious risk of fire occurrence. Meteorologists warn of the need for increased attention and preventive measures.

The days off will be characterized by intense sunshine and temporary cloud increases in mountain areas. On Saturday, precipitation is forecast in the Rila-Rhodope region, while Sunday will be marked by episodic thunderstorm activities in certain western regions.

Temperature amplitudes will vary in the range of 34-35 degrees on the first day off and reaching 37-38 degrees on the second weekend day. Night temperatures will also be extremely high, which will further worsen the sense of comfort.

The coast will offer relatively more tolerable conditions with air temperatures around 30 degrees and sea temperature between 25-26 degrees. The marine situation is expected to be calm on Saturday, with the possibility of higher waves on Sunday evening.

Meteorological forecasts indicate that the hot period will reach its culmination mid-week, with temperature values around and over 40 degrees. Experts warn of the need for maximum sun protection and increased attention.

An interesting turn is expected towards the end of the month, when forecasts predict a sharp influx of cooler air in the period of July 26-28. This atmospheric front will be accompanied by powerful northwest winds and intense summer storms with heavy precipitation and possible hail.
