The democratic community in Bulgaria expects Andrey Gyurov to officially announce his candidacy for president in the coming days. This became clear from a comment by the Deputy Speaker of Parliament and "Democratic Bulgaria" MP Atanas Atanasov to Nova TV.

"There is an organization for creating and staffing an initiative committee to nominate Gyurov as an independent candidate, and there is also a plan for how the campaign will be conducted," explained Atanasov.
