An 83-year-old woman from the Sozopol village of Zidarovo has become the latest victim of the classic telephone scam known as

"an injured relative in need of an urgent operation"

Thanks to the professional and swift actions of law enforcement officers, the perpetrator was identified and detained only hours after the crime. The detainee is a 23-year-old man from Burgas, who has already made a full confession to the authorities.
