73-year-old man threatens ViK-Burgas employees with an air rifle

Incident in Kableshkovo: Elderly man threatens Water and Sanitation employees

Another case of aggression against public officials has been registered in the town of Kableshkovo. A 73-year-old man was detained by law enforcement after pointing an air rifle at a team from the Burgas Water and Sanitation utility (ViK).

The incident occurred yesterday morning while the employees were carrying out their official duties of inspecting and reading water meters.

According to the victims' accounts, when they attempted to access a private property, they were intercepted by the owner. The man was holding an air weapon and made direct threats against the team.

Police response

• The employees immediately called 112.
• Police teams responded promptly and identified the perpetrator.
• During the search, the man voluntarily surrendered the air rifle and two boxes of pellets.

The reasons for the aggressive behavior are currently being clarified, and legal procedures have been initiated against the 73-year-old perpetrator.
