The fire department's tally: 130 incident reports

A total of 57 fires were extinguished across the country in the last 24 hours, according to the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Civil Protection at the Ministry of Interior. As of 6:00 a.m. this morning, the data shows intense activity by the teams.

Unfortunately, the day did not pass without casualties. A man died in a traffic accident between Dobrich and the village of General Kiselovo, and a woman lost her life in a fire in Sofia.

Details about the fires

  • With direct material damage: 24 fires (10 in residential buildings and 7 in vehicles).
  • Without material damage: 33 fires (mainly in waste, dry grass, and forest floor).

Rescue activities

In addition to extinguishing fires, firefighters carried out 67 rescue operations and auxiliary activities, including 8 cases following accidents and 4 following floods. There were also 6 false alarms registered.
