55 fires in 24 hours: DGPSAB teams brought crisis situations under control

Fire Department Report: 55 Fires Extinguished in 24 Hours

Over the past 24 hours, the teams of the General Directorate "Fire Safety and Civil Protection" (GDFSCP) at the Ministry of Interior have responded to numerous reports. Firefighters managed to extinguish a total of 55 fires, and the good news is that there were no deaths or injuries during the incidents.

Statistics show that 21 of the fires caused direct material damage.

Where did the most frequent incidents occur?

• 6 fires in residential buildings;
• 2 fires in industrial facilities;
• 3 fires in auxiliary or makeshift structures;
• 5 fires in vehicles;
• 2 fires in outdoor facilities;
• 3 other cases.

Rescue activities and technical assistance

In addition to fighting the fires, the teams responded to a total of 98 incident reports. 36 rescue operations and assistance activities were carried out, including:

• 5 cases involving traffic accidents;
• 2 cases involving domestic or industrial accidents;
• 28 cases of technical assistance;
• 1 case of providing assistance to injured citizens.

Unfortunately, the fire department units also received 7 false alarms, which divert resources from real incidents.
