There were 21 serious crashes across Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, the interior ministry said. Eighteen people were injured and no one died.

In Sofia, there were 24 minor crashes over the same period, with no deaths or injuries.

So far this month, 26 people have died on the roads and 430 have been injured.

Since 1 January 2026, 392 people have died and 6,832 have been injured. That is 55 more deaths than in the same period of 2025, when 337 people died.
