Sozopol City Day: July 17 is a non-working day
With Order No. 8-Z-652/16.07.2026, the Mayor of Sozopol Municipality has declared July 17, 2026, a holiday and a non-working day for municipal administration employees.
The decision was made on the basis of Art. 44, para. 2 of the Local Self-Government and Local Administration Act, in accordance with the tradition dating back to 1992.
Why July 17?
The date was chosen in honor of St. Marina the Great Martyr, who is revered as the patroness and protector of Sozopol. The day is a symbol of the city's spiritual connection to its traditions.
- Who is off: Employees of the municipal administration, municipal units, and municipal enterprises within the territory of the town of Sozopol.
- Significance: Celebrating the city's day with a series of cultural events.

16.07.2026, 10:52Абе, вие сериозно ли?! Празник в Созопол - хубаво! Св. Марина - браво! Ама какво значи "неприсъствен ден за общината"?! Тоя празник за туристите е, нали? И да плащат данъци... а за нас к'во остана? Да гледаме отстрани и да си плащаме сметките като гладни вълци?!
