The General Directorate "Fire Safety and Population Protection" reported 131 fires in a 24-hour period. One person was registered as injured with burns. The fires were of varying scales and causes, and 5 calls were false alarms.

This morning, the General Directorate “Fire Safety and Civil Protection” (GDPBZP) reported a busy 24-hour period marked by numerous fires.

By 6:00 AM this morning, a total of 131 fires across the country had been extinguished.

The scale of the firefighters_q_ work is impressive – they responded to 170 incident reports, demonstrating a high level of commitment and readiness for rapid response in emergency situations.

Fortunately, the number of casualties was limited. One injured man, 44 years old, with second-degree burns, was reported as a result of a fire in a gas appliance repair shop in Pazardzhik. The incident report was received at 14:56 yesterday. The case highlights the potential risks associated with working with gas appliances and the need for strict adherence to safety measures.

The scales of the damage varied. Direct material damage was registered in 30 cases, while in 101 cases the fires were extinguished without material damage.

The data indicates a variety of causes for the fires, ranging from incidents involving gas appliances to smaller incidents where serious consequences were fortunately avoided.

In addition to extinguishing fires, firefighters also carried out 34 rescue and assistance operations, demonstrating the multifaceted nature of their work and highlighting their role beyond fighting fires.

Five false calls were also registered during the past 24 hours. This is a worrying sign, showing the need for greater responsibility and recognition of the seriousness of calls directed to emergency services.

Each false call takes away valuable time and resources that could be used to deal with real crisis situations.

GDPBZP will likely focus its efforts on informing and raising public awareness to reduce the number of such cases in the future.

The overall picture from the report shows an intensive working day for firefighters dedicated to protecting the lives and property of citizens.
