The Regional Library "Peyo Yavorov" in Burgas is hosting the premiere of "The Books of Jacob" by Olga Tokarczuk. The event will take place on February 2nd at 6:00 PM, with moderator Miroslava Krumova.
Together with literary guests, the translator Krum Krumov and the publisher and editor Nevena Dishlieva will present to the Burgas audience the multifaceted world of Jacob, revealed in the Nobel laureate's most daring work.
In 1040 pages, which are a unique map for traversing all of Europe, the epic follows the story of the controversial Jacob Frank. The novel raises questions about the Jewish people, faith, identity, and meaning. Tokarczuk is known for her encyclopedic approach and philosophical depth.

Krum Krumov, the translator of the book, is the recipient of prestigious awards for translation. He has also translated other works by Tokarczuk, including "Drive Your Plow Over the Bones of the Dead".
