Burgas 2025: An Epic Summer with Music, Festivals, and Unforgettable Experiences

Burgas is preparing for one of the most culturally packed months in its history – August 2025. The city, a candidate for European Capital of Culture, will welcome dozens of international events that promise to attract thousands of visitors from across the country.

The music scene will be leading during the month, with the first major highlight being the concert of world-famous Róisín Murphy on August 2nd in the Maritime Station area. The performer will present part of BURGAS SUMMER LIVE, with Bulgarian star Rushi Vidinliev as a special guest.

Parallel to this, St. Anastasia Island will host a series of musical performances. From August 1st, visitors will be able to enjoy performances by groups such as F.O. & Peeva, Rap Nation, Taraleshtа and other Bulgarian bands.

The festival palette also includes events like "Salty Winds" – the seventeenth edition of the festival of bards and poets with guitars, which will bring together twenty-two individual performers and six duet formations from Bulgaria, Russia, and Italy.

For fans of Eastern culture, Sora Fest will offer an Asian bazaar, including merchants, artists, handmade crafts, comics, anime, and K-pop culture. The event will be accessible to all age groups.

Music fans will also have the opportunity to enjoy Sun Tribe Open Air, which will present diverse musical styles, including trance, drum and bass, and techno. Special attention will be paid to visual effects and 3D mapping.

SPICE Music Festival 2025 will bring back nostalgia for pop and dance music from the 90s. Legendary performers such as INNA, Eagle-Eye Cherry, Whigfield, Helena Paparizou, and many others will take the stage.

The electronic scene will be represented by SOLAR SUMMER with the participation of Mahmut Orhan and Lilly Palmer, who promise unforgettable musical experiences.

Besides musical events, Burgas will also offer a rich program of other activities. The International Puppet Festival "Puppet Days" will delight children, while "With a Book on the Beach" will attract literature lovers.

For culinary enthusiasts, World Taste Fest will be organized, and intellectuals can participate in the first-of-its-kind open ESCOQUIZ FEST with the participation of 50 teams.

The youth audience will be delighted by TEEN BOOM FEST, which will bring together popular influencers and musical performers.

Sports enthusiasts will also have their place with numerous competitions – sailing regattas, water polo tournaments, beach volleyball and rugby, as well as horse racing.

All events are part of the campaign for Burgas' candidacy for European Capital of Culture in 2032 and promise to turn the city into the most attractive destination for summer entertainment.
