Repair activities on the Hemus Motorway in Sofia region are restricting traffic to a single lane.
On June 19, from 8 am to 6 pm, repairs will be carried out on the pavement of the Hemus Motorway in Sofia region. Traffic will be restricted to one lane in two sections of the motorway, in order to ensure the safety of travelers.

Continuous progress of the repair of the Danube Bridge near Ruse
The major repair of the 320-meter section of the Danube Bridge near Rousse in the direction of Bulgaria is progressing according to plan. 63 old road panels have already been dismantled, and 27 new ones have been installed, bringing the total number to 544 panels. The work also includes the replacement of drainage systems, reinforced concrete panels, and anti-corrosion coating.

Rail transport – a key element in the modernization of public transport

Restrictions on traffic on the Struma motorway in Pernik due to repair work
From 20 to 30 June, there will be traffic restrictions in the lane for Kula from km 22 to km 24 on the Struma highway in Pernik region due to road surface repair. Traffic will be diverted in both directions in the lane for Sofia, and the speed limit will be 90 km/h.

Young farmers receive additional financial support for 2024.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food has determined the amount of payment under the intervention for additional income support for young farmers for the 2024 campaign. The aid will be provided for the entire eligible area of the farm for a period of up to 5 years, starting from the first year of submitting the payment application.

The government is actively working to turn the challenges in the energy sector into opportunities, said Energy Minister Zhecho Stankov. He emphasized the need to combine the production of green energy with energy efficiency measures, as well as the reduction of energy poverty among households. The Minister also presented key initiatives, such as the establishment of a Decarbonization Fund and the implementation of new PHES (Pumped Hydro Energy Storage) projects.
