The CITUB trade union will publish its September price data on a small basket of goods.

The tracking began in mid-2025 and covers all of Bulgaria – 81 towns and more than 600 shops, big and small. The checks are part of a deal with the government to stop shops from raising prices without reason as Bulgaria switches to the euro.

The union tracks the prices of basic goods and publishes the results, acting as a public watchdog over the change from the lev to the euro.
