The Deputy Prime Minister Karadjov imposes severe measures against the ground operator "Swissport Bulgaria" after another incident at Sofia Airport.
Due to the blockage of nearly 300 passengers at Sofia Airport, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport Grozdan Karadjov announced that the license of "Swissport Bulgaria" will be temporarily revoked. He will also make serious structural changes to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation Administration, which is responsible for the effective control over ground operators.

The chairman of the Consumer Protection Commission expressed support for the trade union leader's proposal for greater transparency of final prices through the labeling of different price components. The Commission believes that this will give consumers a clearer understanding of how prices are formed and will contribute to greater confidence in commercial practices.
Repair of 18.5 km of first-class road I-4 between Targovishte and Buhovtsi
The Road Infrastructure Agency has launched a preventive repair of 18.5 km of a section of first-class road I-4 between the towns of Targovishte and Buhovtsi. The repair work will be carried out in stages, without interrupting traffic, but drivers are urged to drive carefully and follow the road signs.
Road repairs and safety measures on key sections in Southern and Western Bulgaria
Measures have been taken to improve road safety in various areas of Southern and Western Bulgaria. Sections of first-class roads I-5 and II-81, as well as the Trakia Motorway, have been renovated, including the application of new markings, installation of road signs and barrier systems, repair of the asphalt surface, and other activities.
The Ministry of Agriculture is taking measures to support the affected orchards.
The Ministry of Agriculture and Food is taking actions to refine the areas of permanent plantations affected by adverse climatic conditions. An interagency working group will be formed to conduct re-inspections in order to accelerate the procedure for payment of state aid to the affected farmers.
Central and Eastern Europe in search of a strategic vision for its future
The Institute for Economic Policy is organizing the 25th jubilee edition of its long-standing regional initiative - the Summer Seminar for Young Civil Servants and Experts in the Field of Public Policies. This year's edition, titled "Strategic Vision for Central and Eastern Europe in Times of Continuing Uncertainty", brought together 37 participants from 13 countries who worked together to create a common vision for the future of the region.
The Ministry of Agriculture determines the rates for environmental payments for permanent crops in 2024.
The Minister of Agriculture and Food, Dr. Georgi Takhov, issued an order that sets the amounts of support for the ecological maintenance of permanent crops in 2024. The rate for maintaining the inter-row spaces is 330.39 BGN/ha, and for maintaining the strips along the edges of the plot is 129.71 BGN/ha.
Growing trade cooperation between Bulgaria and Cuba
The Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov and the Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Bulgaria discussed the possibilities for expanding the bilateral trade and economic relations. Temporary repair activities on Trakia Motorway in the regions of Sofia, Pazardzhik and Burgas
From June 23 to 27, repair work will be carried out on the Burgas lane of the "Trakia" highway in the regions of Sofia, Pazardzhik and Burgas. The repairs will affect traffic, with lanes being restricted in places. The Road Infrastructure Agency calls on drivers to drive carefully and not to use the emergency lanes.

Dual price labeling in commercial establishments - CPC takes measures to protect consumers
The Minister of Economy and Industry Petar Dilov announced that the Commission for Consumer Protection (KZP) carried out over 500 inspections in commercial establishments during the period May 29 - June 1, 2025, in order to verify the labeling of prices of goods and services. It was found that some retail chains have introduced dual price labeling - in levs and euros, with payments being made only in levs. The Minister assured that the KZP is taking action to stop the violations and protect consumers.
Key financing for the construction of the Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo Motorway
The Road Infrastructure Agency and the Managing Authority of the Transport Connectivity Program 2021-2027 signed a grant agreement of over 1 billion BGN for the construction of the Ruse - Veliko Tarnovo motorway. The project includes two sections - from Ruse to Byala and the Byala bypass, with construction work already underway.
Cross-border cooperation Romania-Bulgaria finances over 17 million euros for educational projects
The Monitoring Committee of the Joint Interreg Romania-Bulgaria 2021-2027 Cross-Border Cooperation Programme approved 21 new projects worth over 17 million euros, aimed at improving educational infrastructure and services in the cross-border region. The projects involve the participation of leading universities, schools, and municipalities from both sides of the border.
