Arkutino is situated approximately 40 km south of Burgas, along the road to Primorsko, and is part of the Ropotamo Reserve. Above the beach stretches a panoramic view of Arkutino Swamp — a freshwater lagoon separated from the sea by a sandy strip and home to rare waterfowl and protected plant species.

🌿 Natural Environment and Biodiversity

The beach is surrounded by sand dunes and longoz forests, where the unique sea daffodil (Pancratium maritimum) grows — a protected species listed in Bulgaria’s Red Data Book. Arkutino is also home to many bird species — including herons, cormorants, harriers, and rare amphibians and reptiles.

The waters here are crystal clear, and the sand is soft and golden. Unlike crowded resorts, there are no buildings or noise here — only the song of the sea, the scent of wild plants, and the feeling of absolute freedom.

Near the beach once stood the Arkutino camping site, a beloved place in the past for free-spirited travelers and the hippie subculture. Today, access to the beach is possible by foot or car, with a paid parking lot available nearby.

There are several seasonal beach bars, umbrellas, and sunbeds for rent, but much of the beach is kept in its natural, untouched state — ideal for lovers of wild and secluded places.
