Tourism Minister Miroslav Borshosh highlighted the key role of Germany as a strategic partner of Bulgaria in tourism. He stressed that our country is a modern, accessible and increasingly recognizable destination, open to partnerships throughout the year. Borshosh expressed confidence that with innovations, better connectivity and targeted messages to the audience, sustainable growth can be achieved in all seasons. He defined the "Experience Bulgaria" forum as a platform for new opportunities and shared development.
The event, held from June 11 to 15, 2025, brought together over 200 representatives of leading tour operators, airlines, media and industry organizations from Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The forum discussed opportunities for the expansion of tourism products and charter programs, improving air connectivity and the development of sustainable forms of tourism - SPA, cultural, wine and gastronomic.
Minister Borshosh held bilateral meetings with leading industry structures, including the German tourism group DERTOUR Group, the German Travel Association (DRV) and the Federal Association of the German Tourism Industry (BTW), which together represent over 80% of the German tourism market.
The main partners of the forum are the media group FVW|TravelTalk, Fraport Twin Star, Grifid Hotels, the Ministry of Tourism, the Association of Incoming Agencies, the Municipality of Varna, as well as the airlines Electra Airways and SunExpress. The event moderators are German experts Klaus Hildebrandt and Dirk Rogl, and among the participants are representatives of TUI, DERTOUR Group, Alltours, Schauinsland Reisen, SunExpress and other key industry players.
