Yellow Code Issued for Strong Wind and Rainfall in 16 Regions of the Country Today

Yellow code for strong wind:

Today, a yellow code for strong wind has been declared in the regions of Silistra, Dobrich, Razgrad, Shumen, Targovishte, Veliko Tarnovo, Gabrovo, Lovech, Varna, Burgas, Yambol, Sliven, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Kardzhali and Blagoevgrad.

Weather in the country:

• Western Bulgaria: Mostly cloudy with rain, more significant in the extreme western and southern regions.
• Eastern Bulgaria: The cloudiness will be broken, with moderate and temporarily strong southerly wind.
• Black Sea Coast: The cloudiness will be broken, it will thicken in the evening. A moderate and temporarily strong wind from the south-southwest will blow. The maximum temperatures will be between 17° and 20°. The sea water temperature is 15°-16°. The sea swell will be 2-4 Beaufort.
• Western Bulgaria: The wind will turn from the northwest and cold air will blow in. The maximum temperatures will be from 7°-8° in the extreme northwestern regions to 18°-20° in places in Eastern Bulgaria and the regions sensitive to southerly wind, in Sofia – around 12°.
• Mountains: Mostly cloudy, foggy on the ridges. Rain will occur in places in the massifs of Western Bulgaria and the Rhodopes, snow will fall above 2200 meters. A strong, on the ridges – stormy southerly wind will blow. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be around 10°, at 2000 meters – around 4°.
