Iliana Yotova is ready to take part in a debate on BNT before the second round of the election for president and vice president. She confirmed this on the show "Oshte ot denya", the public broadcaster said.

BNT is ready to organise and host a debate between the two presidential tickets that reached the run-off.

Article 17, paragraph 2 of the agreement between BNT and the parties and initiative committees with registered candidates allows for such a debate. The document sets the rules for election campaigning on air. All participants in the election signed it, and the Central Election Commission approved it.

In September, Tsarevo mayor Marin Kirov joined the initiative committee backing Iliana Yotova and Kiril Valchev. He said he backs them out of personal conviction.

The topics and timing of the debate will be set later. The broadcaster said it will strictly follow the Electoral Code and the principle of equal treatment.
