The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) made a historic decision by establishing that Iran is not fulfilling its nuclear monitoring commitments. This is the first such case in 20 years. In response, Tehran announced that it will open a new enrichment facility and modernize its centrifuges.
The IAEA decision, led by the US, France, the UK, and Germany, was approved by a majority of 19 votes "for", 3 "against", and 11 abstentions. It calls on Iran to immediately respond to the remaining outstanding questions regarding the radioactive traces found at secret nuclear facilities.
Meanwhile, Tehran stated that it is fully combat-ready to respond to a potential Israeli attack. President Ebrahim Raisi warned that they will not allow the "enemy" to even attack by a centimeter. The US Embassy in Israel warned its staff not to leave the areas of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, and Beersheba.
