Wind turbines produced 14.8% of Europe's electricity over the past 24 hours, WindEurope's Power Numbers platform says in its daily bulletin. In Bulgaria, wind covered 9% of power over the same period.

Almost all of it came from onshore turbines, which supplied 13.6% of all electricity, or 972 gigawatt-hours. Offshore wind farms added another 1.2%, or 81 gigawatt-hours.

Sweden got the biggest share of its power from wind, at 56.2%. Romania followed with 50.7%, then Finland with 48.7%.

Sweden also led in output, with 185 gigawatt-hours, ahead of Germany with 175.8 and Spain with 114.4. Bulgaria produced 6.8 gigawatt-hours from wind over the 24 hours.
