Weather Forecast: Dynamics and Chilly Wind

Overnight, cloud cover across the country will break up and decrease to mostly clear weather, reported the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH). The wind will be moderate, coming from the west-northwest, and atmospheric pressure will rise.

Tomorrow we can expect variable cloudiness, which will often increase in the afternoon.

A moderate to strong wind will blow during the day. Maximum temperatures will range between 19° and 24°, with around 19° expected for Sofia.

Weather along the Black Sea coast and in the mountains

  • Black Sea coast: Predominantly sunny with temporary increases in cloud cover in the afternoon. Sea water temperatures are between 14° and 17°, and sea state will be slight – 1-2 degrees.
  • Mountains: Variable cloudiness with a possibility of light showers in isolated areas. The wind will be moderate to strong. At 1200 meters, the temperature will be around 13°, and at 2000 meters – around 6°.

What to expect at the beginning of the week?

On Tuesday and Wednesday, the atmosphere remains unstable. Development of cumulus-rain clouds is expected with short-term showers and thunderstorms, mainly in Central Southern Bulgaria and the eastern regions. Daytime temperatures will remain in the range of 19-25°.
