Dynamic weather: From heat to a brief cooldown

While Western Europe struggles with extreme heat, reaching 40 degrees on the Iberian Peninsula, Bulgaria is in a transitional cooling period. After a sunny start to the day, the atmospheric conditions are changing under the influence of a moderate northwesterly wind.

The forecast predicts unstable weather with brief precipitation and thunderstorms, most significant after midnight and in the morning hours around the Balkan Mountains and in Northeast Bulgaria.

What to expect in the coming days?

• Friday: Temperatures will drop, ranging between 20 and 27 degrees.
• Weekend: The weather will stabilize. The probability of rain remains low and mainly in mountainous areas.
• Beginning of the new week: A return of pleasant summer weather with temperatures around and above 30 degrees in the lowlands.

The good news is that the extreme heat observed in Western Europe is currently bypassing our latitudes, ensuring comfortable conditions for outdoor recreation over the weekend.
