Weather in Burgas and the region
On June 27 in Burgas and the region, the weather will be typically summer-like, with prevailing sun and comfortable temperatures. The morning will start clear and cool, and by noon it will warm up quickly, with cloudiness remaining insignificant or broken for most of the day.
The maximum air temperature in Burgas will reach about 29–30°C, and the minimum in the morning – about 18–19°C. The interior of the region will be 1–2 degrees warmer, but along the coast, the sea breeze will soften the heat.
The probability of precipitation in the area is low – about 20–25%, with only short-lived, local showers possible in the afternoon, mainly in the interior parts of the region. Along the coast, the weather will remain mostly dry.
The sea water temperature near Burgas will be about 22–23°C, which provides pleasant conditions for swimming. According to observations in the Bay of Burgas in June, the water usually stays in the 22–24°C range, thanks to the protected bay and the calmer sea.
The wind along the coast will be light to moderate – mainly from the east-southeast in the first half of the day, with a tendency to strengthen slightly in the afternoon and orient from the northeast. The average speed will be about 4–6 m/s, without dangerous gusts.
The sea state will remain slight – up to 2 degrees, and conditions on the beaches will be calm. Preliminary assessment for swimming safety in the Burgas area: green flag – very good conditions for the beach and swimming, with normal caution and attention to the strong solar index during midday hours.
Sofia and the region
In Sofia and the surrounding areas, June 27 will be more stable compared to previous days, but still with a risk of local afternoon showers. The morning will be mostly sunny and cool, and in the afternoon, cumulus clouds will develop, mainly over the mountains around the capital.
Maximum temperatures in Sofia will reach about 26–28°C, and minimums will be around 15–16°C. The probability of precipitation is lower – about 20–30%, with short rains or thunderstorms possible mainly in the western and southwestern parts of the region. The wind will be light to moderate from the northeast.
Eastern and Western Bulgaria
In Western Bulgaria, the day will start with mostly sunny weather, and by noon cumulus clouds will develop. In some places, mainly in mountainous and foothill areas, short-lived afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected. Maximum temperatures will be between 25 and 29°C, with minimums around 14–17°C.
In Eastern Bulgaria, including the Danubian Plain and the northeastern regions, it will be drier and warmer. During the day, sunny weather will prevail, with broken clouds in the afternoon. Rainfall is more of an exception, with a probability of about 10–20%. Temperatures will reach 27–31°C, and minimums will hover around 17–19°C. The wind will be light to moderate from the eastern quadrant.
In the mountains
In the mountain regions on June 27, the weather will be relatively favorable for tourism before noon, but unstable in the afternoon. The morning will have more sunny hours and good visibility, and after noon, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop.
In some places, especially in the western and central parts of the Balkan Mountains and the Rila-Rhodope region, there will be short-lived showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures at about 1200–1500 m will be around 17–19°C, and on the highest peaks – around 9–12°C. The wind on the ridges will be light to moderate, from the west-northwest, with temporary strengthening during storms.
Mountain treks should be planned so that they end in the highest parts before late afternoon, when the probability of thunderstorm processes increases.
Black Sea Coast
Along the entire Black Sea coast on June 27, the weather will be typical for summer and suitable for the beach. Sun will prevail, with temporary increases in cloudiness in the afternoon, but without serious rainfall along the coast itself.
Maximum temperatures by the sea will be in the range of 26–29°C – cooler along the northern coast (Varna, Balchik, Kavarna) and slightly warmer along the southern one (Burgas, Nesebar, Sozopol, Primorsko, Tsarevo). Minimum temperatures will be around 18–20°C.
The sea water temperature along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast will remain in the 21–23°C range, with the Southern Black Sea coast around 22–23°C. The sea state will be slight, 1–2 degrees, and the wind – light to moderate from the east-southeast, with strengthening in the afternoon hours.
Preliminary assessment for swimming safety along the Black Sea coast: predominantly green flag. Conditions are good for the beach and swimming, with attention to the strong UV index in the midday hours and short-term changes in the wind.
