The school library of SU "Lyuben Karavelov" in Nessebar honored three students who have distinguished themselves as the most avid readers during the past school year. Mikhaylo Kosheliev from class 3 "v", Khrisiya Drechkova from class 3 "v" and Elizabeta Koshelieva from class 3 "d" have borrowed 132, 130 and 115 titles respectively during the year. The awards - certificates and books, provided by the school board, were presented to them by the Deputy Principal for Primary Education, Mrs. Nataliya Antonova, and a member of the school board, Mrs. Valentina Nikolova. The children also received congratulations from their teachers, Mrs. Karina Bogdanova and Mrs. Tanya Tsoneva.
During the past school year, a total of 3,824 books were borrowed from the library 563 times. There were 389 active readers during the year, with 205 of them borrowing 5 or more titles and 121 children with 10 or more titles. The most active are the students in the primary grades. The most read titles are from popular children's series such as "Franklin", "Winnie and Wilbur", "Rabbit and Bear", "Claude", "The Barbarians", "Petson and Findus", "The Moomins", "A Little Library of Greek Myths" and books from the Disney series. More confident readers prefer books about Lily the Wonder, Drundyo and the Clumsies. Among the favorite authors are David Walliams, Roald Dahl, Katherine Rundell and Stephanie Burgis, and from Bulgarian authors - Katya Antonova, Alexandra Georgieva and Radostina Nikolova.
