Students from the Burgas region demonstrate firefighting skills at the "Young Firefighter" competition.

Today in the town of Kameno the regional competition "Young Firefighter" was held, in which students from the region demonstrated their knowledge and practical skills in the field of fire safety. The competition is part of the international movement of Youth Fire Brigades "Young Firefighter", supported by CTIF - the International Association of Fire and Rescue Services.

The winner of the competition is the team of SU "Nikola Vaptsarov" from Aytos, followed by the team of SU "Bishop Konstantin Preslavski" - Burgas, and in third place - SU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius" from Karnobat. The competition for students up to 16 years of age is organized by the RD PBZN - Burgas in partnership with the Municipality of Kameno, the Southeast State Forestry Enterprise - Sliven and other institutions.

This year's edition of the competition was held at the stadium in Kameno in connection with the implementation of the activities of the Co-Resilience project - "Cooperation for building community resilience capacity to forest fires and early warning in the Black Sea Basin", which aims to train students from municipalities in Burgas Region in fire safety and population protection.
