Three people died and 29 were hurt in 27 road crashes across Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, the interior ministry said.

Since 1 January, 400 people have died on the roads, 51 more than in the same period of 2025.

There have been 5,576 road accidents since the start of the year, with 6,914 people injured.

Since the start of the month alone, there have been 414 serious crashes. They have killed 34 people and injured 513.

In Sofia, there were 2 serious and 35 minor crashes in 24 hours, with no deaths or injuries.
