Three people detained yesterday on the Trakia motorway over the killing of businessman Slavi Binev could be charged today, Sofia City Prosecutor's Office said.

Binev, president of the taekwondo federation, was shot dead at his home yesterday. Prosecutors have opened a case.

Investigators say the main motive is unsettled financial dealings. Binev and the detainees had business interests in construction. The Interior Ministry says it was not a contract killing.

Camera recordings that leaked to the public show Binev himself invited the three into his home.

Binev is the second businessman killed in October, after Iliyan Filipov.
