Tragic death of a high school graduate in Sunny Beach - investigation underway

A tragic incident befell a 19-year-old graduate in the resort complex "Sunny Beach" in the early hours of the morning after his prom. According to information from Nova Television, the young man collapsed and died on the way to the hospital, after being taken by ambulance. The police have not yet determined the cause of death and are awaiting the results of the autopsy. It is preliminarily reported that the boy had a diagnosis of epilepsy.

The tragic incident occurred around 4:20 am. Police and medical teams immediately rushed to the scene, but their efforts to save the graduate's life were unsuccessful. A pre-trial investigation has been initiated, with an inspection being carried out, video recordings being seized, and witnesses being questioned. There are currently no indications of violence.

In response to the tragic case, the Ministry of Internal Affairs will increase police presence in the days after May 24, when many prom balls are held in the Sofia region. The aim is to ensure the smooth running of these celebrations.
