A tragic accident near Danube Bridge 2 claimed the life of a 58-year-old man.

A tragic incident shook Vidin this morning. Around 5:50 am, the police received a signal about a discovered corpse on the E-79 main road, in the area of the Danube Bridge 2. The on-duty team arrived at the scene and found severe injuries on the left side of the body of a 58-year-old man.

According to preliminary information, the victim was hit by a motor vehicle, the driver of which left the scene. The police are carrying out procedural investigative and operational search actions, and the District Prosecutor's Office in Vidin is leading the investigation into causing death in the operation of a motor vehicle.

The identity of the man has been established - he is 58 years old, with the initials A. T., from Vidin. The autopsy report is expected to clarify the final cause of death.

The case is another tragic road accident that claims a life. The investigation continues under the supervision of the prosecution, in order to establish all the circumstances of the incident and to identify and punish the guilty parties.
